About bluebearwoodcraft

Bluebear Woodcraft is an individually veteran owned and operated work space, my name is Tyler and I was born and raised in Oklahoma. My passion for working with wood began while I was stationed overseas in Japan, they had a small but wonderful woodshop on base where I spent the majority of my free time. I started small but ambitious turning pens, then gradually working on larger projects. Cutting boards, plaques for my colleagues as they moved on, to small end tables which were donated to a resale shop just off base. Although many years have passed from that time, the desire and love of woodworking remained. With the help of my wonderful wife I had slowly collected the neccessary tools to eventually open my own shop out of our garage in Broken Arrow, OK.

But, where did the name bluebear woodcraft come from you may ask. Well as you may have noticed in the picture that adorns this page is our blue pit Lucy. She always reminds us of a small bear and had a personality to match her supersized comparison. Blue for her being a blue nose house hippo, and bear for her resemblance of one. And so the name was born.

I hope to hear from you soon to see what we can come up with so I can do my very best to bring your dreams to life.
